In winter all mountains look most monumental, but the "Riesengebirge" features a special impressing view under its snow mantle. The specific microclimate, which comes up to the climate of the Alps in altitude of 2.000 metres, and the strong and the long keeping snow cover offer you for six months favourable terms for several kinds of wintersport like: Alpine Skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing.
Berbisdorf (Lysa Góra in Dziwiszów)
The ski-run's slope Lysa Góra (Blücherhöhe) is located at the Katzbachgebirge (its back nestles to the Hirschberger Kessel in the North). The highest summits of these mountains are: Baraniec (Schafberg) - 718 m, Skopiec (Melkgelte) - 720m, Okole (Hogolie) - 721 m and also Lysa Góra (Blücherhöhe) - 708 m. Available at Lysa Góra are: three excellent prepared courses, coloured nets, masts and heavy mats to take care for safety. Artificial snow, journeys at nights, ski-service, ski-rental and a small economie provide for a pleasant stay. Three ski-runs on 1.000 metres length.

Krummhübel (Karpacz)
This complex consists of ski-runs of around 10 km, with 2 slopes, consisting of articialsnow. There are 3-8 lifts: 2 t-bar lifts and chair lifts for 1-2 people, from which you will have a gorgeous view onto the "Schneekoppe" and "Bialy Jar" (Seifengrube).

Schreiberhau (Szklarska Poreba)
The ski-centre is located at the Szrenica-Massiv and in the surrounding area of the Labsek-summit. It offers you 5 ski-runs with a total length of around 20 km (one 9 km long ski-run is made of artificial snow). There are also several degrees of difficulty. A transport system of chair lifts and t-bar lifts is available. Its the newest one in Poland. The longest slope (4.444 m) starts at the Szrenica-summit in Poland - its called Lolobridga. But there are also many small t-bar lifts, distributed at the slopes of the whole city.

Schmiedeberg (Kowary)
From December 2005 new cross-country slopes will be build. They run across the slope Gory Wolowej and the regions Podgorza and Prezleczy Okraj. More than 25 km marked and excellent prepared ski-runs with different degrees of difficulty satisfy even discriminating cross-country skier.
